WHO IS PAMU?
A Filipino. And yes, I am a girl.
A singer once mistook me as a guy when I made a lyric poster for her. Guess my style tricked some people.
Going back to the beginning, I was born in Manila but moved to the Netherlands shortly. As far as I can remember, I was exposed to beautiful provinces, sceneries, snow, tulips, architecture, Sinterklaas, my first exposure to Pokemon series-- specifically, the anime, and having my taste of Stroopwafels. Only lived there for years, and we moved back to the Philippines before I started going to school.
My memories in the Netherlands inspired my artistic journey. Various painters I know hailed in the country. I know Vincent Van Gogh was Dutch. My dad had a lot of artwork hanging on the wall. My dad's family is a family of artistic people. It really runs in the family.
I have been pretty much present around the internet since YouTube still had its "Broadcast Yourself" as their slogan. I was already exposed to art communities, with DeviantART and YouTube animations being the earliest as I can remember. I can say that I am the modern artist in my family as I am exposed to digital media.
At that time, I was experimenting with digital art using my mouse and MS Paint, creating original characters and making fan art of Mario, Pokemon, Sonic, NiGHTS into Dreams as far as I can remember.
When I got my iPad, that was when I studied different artists with the likes of Sakimichan, or even studying official Pokemon by Ken Sugimori and Yandere Simulator artworks by Kjech.
By the time I entered college taking Fine Arts, I shifted from Illustration to Graphic Design. Though, I still do illustrations when I feel like it, or put them in my graphics. I am also currently studying animation and motion design on my own.
As of June 2022, I'm a college dropout and currently part of a design agency in Cebu.
